It appears there are no deals right now on Series 2 watches. Today Target is offering a 10% discount on their gift cards. I'm thinking about getting some to use towards a watch. I know no one has a crystal ball but does this look like the best deal for a Series 2 before Christmas?
Thanks for your input.

I just bought mine yesterday at target and they were offering a $50 gift card with the purchase.

I haven't found any and I am looking. I plan to visit the Apple store tomorrow and I have a feeling a new series 2 will be coming home with me.

The Series 2 has enough to warrant an upgrade over the Series 1. And it has a larger battery (30% larger.)

Apple watch sales are doing well and I doubt you will see "huge" drops from Apple. Some of the retailers maybe.

For Series 2 sales at least six months after the holidays before anything drops in price. It's still fairly constrained for obvious reasons.

Well I made the trip to the Apple store. I picked up their last Series 2 Space Gray Aluminum. Obviously there was no big discounts to be had.

One interesting note. I usually have to politely decline help several times when I am browsing at that store. They were not crowded. For some reason it seemed most of the help today was more interested in their phone content than in customer help. I had to actually interrupt one guy who was gaming on his phone to tell him what I wanted. He pulled up his special ordering phone and told me they have one left and then went back to his game on his personal phone. I had to ask what was going on! He then told me we were waiting on the apple helper elf to bring it out. I then had to request apple care +. No hard sell from that guy - or additional information. Me thinks they need to do a bit of staff training....hum...

Sometimes Apple Store staff can be inconsistent. But during the Holiday season, this shocks me. Anyways, enjoy your new Series 2.
