Hopefully the title makes sense.
When using an iPad app on iPadOS and asked to select an image stored on your iPad, it defaults to showing the images stored on Photos.app since that’s what iPadOS uses to manage images.
When using this app on macOS, the behavior is to show the images on the Mac’s Photos.app— it is mirroring what it does on the iPad after all. However, is there a way to give it the option to look at images that haven’t been imported into Photos.app, given that I’m on a computer?
For what it’s worth, the app in question has an option to “Import from another app (Dropbox, OneDrive, etc.)”, and clicking that option on my desktop opens up Finder’s file selection window, but when choosing an image through there nothing happens. I chalked it up to the app not being designed for macOS and not being sure how to deal with an image being selected that way.
Ultimately I’m just trying to avoid having to import everything through Photos.app first. Is that possible?
