Say I have half a dozen apps running on my new Air. I'm browsing Safari and then close the computer.

When I come back to it and open the lid, it'll briefly show the Safari window I was last using and then, a second or so later, a different app will jump to the front.

Is this a bug or really odd 'feature'?

Happens to me too, only on Safari though. Shifts over to another fullscreen app such as iTunes.

yep when the state of each application is stored, upon waking up, the windows are restored but not on the backgroud. i.e. the restored applications are able to steal the focus. It's very annoying and hope it gets fixed soon.
