When was the last time the MacBook Pro line was updated?

When was the last time the MacBook Pro line was updated? Was it just this summer with the new MacBook Air?
 
I have a "Early 2011" MBP, actually not exactly the same, coz mine was shipped with OS/X Lion includes a new Keyboard to reflect new functionality (mission control on f3 and launchpad on f4).

Not sure but seems the wireless card also not the same with improved wifi/bluetooth.

The reason I'm holding off.

This has to be wrong if there's going to be a minor processing speed bump...
 
Seems most sites say this month will only be a slight speedbump. New case is expected in 2012.

Mine is the 2011 MBP as well and mine shipped with Lion and I believe "new'' keyboard. Yet my F4 is Dashboard not launchpad but if I go into keyboard shortcuts in System Prefs it shows Dashboard and "show desktop" as being F12 and F11 respectively. But those keys are actually volume controls.
