My lady got a refurb white 16mb 3G a while back and it has performed well thus far.

How long did it take for the 3G refurbs to hit the market after initial release of the 3G?

A bit off topic, but...

Does anyone know what the number (I think it was a 3 or 4 digit number) to text Apple/AT&T about upgrade eligibility? I did it before and it's free of charge and they tell you exactly when your eligible to upgrade to the 3GS and even tell you how much you can purchase the phone without being eligible for the subsidized pricing.

Sorry for hi-jacking your thread OP, but I didn't want to start a new thread just for this

Thanks!

Does anyone know how good ATT iPhone 3G (and eventually 3gs) are good? Like I know getting one from Apple means its like a brand new device but what about ATT? Or do they come from the same place?

I ask cause my work has a deal with ATT premier and I can get a 16GB iPhone 3G for $99 which when looking at the new 8GB 3g thats a steal.

But I want a device that looks brand new (like I would get from Apple) and functions as such.

They all come in the same colored box, so there's no difference. If someone says different, that'll be the first I've heard it.

Edit: Okay, I stand corrected:

See post #9 from our always knowledgeable xbuddycorex.

So I assume they all come from the same refurb factory then correct?

Just thought I had heard rumors stating something else.

I've never heard that rumor. Find a link and post it.

Can't find it could have sworn I had read that. Tempted to do this though I have seen that it's only the original warranty not from when I bought it which means I could have all of a month left actually.

Well I will let you all know how it goes!
