Well they sell the Air 1 so I would assume that sooner or later they might sell the Air 2

It looks to me that the Air 1 is sold directly from Amazon with Prime. No mention of a 3rd party.

It's fulfilled by Amazon via Prime, but not sold by them. It's how I like to buy from them because they don't add tax to orders that are only fulfilled by Amazon.
