A common complain is that the iPhone changes ****ing to ducking. But why? Why?

Ducking is not even a real word. So why would it auto correct to a word that doesn't exist?

Wow... This thread.

I understand the complaint but I don't think we needed a thread though
Why not? Last time I checked this was a discussion forum.

To the OP, yes this happens quite often, but it's not a complaint I would have.

Well they say the iPhone keyboard is the smartest. But the truth is, it doesn't correct it.

Well the problem actually is, it doesn't think that ****ing is an actual word. So it would be better if the iPhone didn't actually correct it.

If you didn't realize the problem is that it autocorrected a word that people were already spelling correctly.

Just now, autocorrect changed the word "us" to "U.S." (I wasn't writing about the country). Honestly, "ducking" is the least of my issues w/iOS autocorrect...

You would think that the OP's phone WOULD have learned by now!

The OP is probably like my wife and instead of taking the time to actually tap the X a few times to teach the phone the new word, they just move to the next word and then scream at the ducking phone for not doing it ducking right and then have to go back and fix it, most likely to repeat the same thing.

Ducking isn't a real word now?
Oh, yes,
I was ducking under cover just as you were posting that. I do my best to stay away from both haters and ignorant folks.
"Not a real word", indeed!
I'm just hoping that we don't hear that a "dictionary" is just a historical artifact, and not useful for any purpose.
It's a large book, so I could probably use it as a cover - you know, ducking under it!
And, wouldn't that be ironic (which also may not be a real word :D )

But no one ever uses ducking.
I just saw this sentence in my thesaurus (remember those?) which might be relevant
"it's ironic that a former illiterate is now a successful writer"
Perhaps the OP will become a successful writer, too!
You could write about "ducking stools", while ducking as a result of all the slinging from this thread, eh?
The only "real" words must be those that you use everyday. All the others are purely imaginary.
