Siri gets stupider all the time. I asked it to add Parmesan cheese to my grocery list, this is what I got. I can’t wait for these upgrades.

Guessing we will have to wait a bit longer this time for a 18.4 beta as it may reveal new models such as the SE and new iPads.

I recently update the iOS 18.3 so i don't think that the 18.4 version will take a lot of time to release. Most probably, Apple might be planning to release it sooner as expected.

A few requests:
- ability to freeze an app
- multiple users
- private space, plus the ability to setup private space in multiple users
- quick tap to enter guest mode
I think you can forget about multiple users as apple seams to belive ut will hurt sales of phones/tablets.

Why wallet? People keep photos of their ID’s and passports on their photos app. To quickly use the id numbers when needed. If new siri with 18.4 can’t find and learn from that info, it’s basically useless. Dumb siri we have already can do those things. For example, it knows who is your mom if you linked your mom as your mom on contacts app. So if I have to link something, we cant talk anything about AI.
The thing is the photo ip as a photo can be doctored way easier than an d in the wallet app the (at least here in Norway) requires you to identify with a digital id in the process of adding it, sp yje chences to fake are probably way smaller

Sorry I should have clarified: I meant *multiple personal spaces*, for a single user. Sometimes the feature is wrongly called "multiple users" but that is a misnomer. The function is meant for one person to have multiple separate spaces for improved privacy / security.

Plus, if they want, apple can limit the feature to 512gb devices so it's an upsell - apple gets more profit, users get better privacy.

For all of us here in the EU left behind by Apple, 18.4 essentially means 18.0.

Well I simply don’t want any AI features and have never used Siri. Simply is the key word in how I use iPhone, Mac and tech in general.
ok you don’t use AI but going forward it’s going to be a key theme running through the OS with various improvements going forward

I’m quite intrigued by iOS 18.4… supposedly, it is the release that should grant everyone Apple Intelligence access, right? At least to a few more languages.

I like AI especially for the photo retouch tool. And, since I write quite often and use email extensively, I am looking forward to the AI tools for writing and email sorting. Genmojis and images playground are just exceptionally useless tools for me. As for Siri? I wish I could use it more but, as it stands, I agree it is utterly useless (for instance when I want to open the Disney+ app on my AppleTV via my HomePod, no way to do that).
I would also like to have the voice memo transcription in Italian, which would be extremely helpful for meetings and notes.

So all in all, having Apple Intelligence in English opens a lot of things but speaking Italian, and having all the documents in italian (or German) prevents me from really using Apple Intelligence as it currently stands. That's why I am eagerly looking forward to 18.4 beta.

As for "non AI features" the new calculator, Freeform and the Notes revamp made my iPad really really useful again.
