I'm considering 17 Pro, would like an 18 but am concerned of higher prices. When do they typically remove? When the new one is announced? Asking as I want the trade in value for my current phone.
I'd usually assume somewhat quickly, but this is such an unprecedented year on components supply it's difficult to predict. There's a case for keeping it in the lineup given the difficulties of producing the new 2nm CPUs.

This is so true, we are in unprecedented times, we may see 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max sticking around longer than previous Pro models, wouldn’t surprise me at all, but at the same time Apple want to get the best sales for their latest models, my guess is they will quietly keep 17 Pro there on the side but they won’t mention it in the presentation, or make it as obvious on the website…
I have a feeling Apple will in true fashion take their 17 Pro/Pro Max out in favor for their new 18 Pro/Pro Max, leave the base 17 and Air on their website since both these devices will come out in March, and add the iPhone Ultra. This is my guess.

Depending what carrier you use, the 17 Pro may still be offered for some time at your Carrier's site. I got my new 16e from Patriot Mobile long after it had disappeared from the Apple site.
