Certainly, the days of plastic are truly gone and being honest, the plastic cracked everywhere - just like my old iMac did with age. I have the white MacBook as my backup and the plastic really doesn't last. Even the plastic bezel came unglued in parts from the screen at 1 yer old. Also, the BlueTooth never worked from day 1. I remember reading reports a while ago about dodgy bluetooth antennas in some of them? Sad, as I've never been sable to use AirDrop on it which would save so much time.
However, it would be lovely to see a white aluminium MacBook. That would look pretty beautiful IMO.

I just gave one of these to a nephew. He loves it. They're still out there and being used. But that look is no longer "fashionable."

I'd even settle for Bondi Blue, but white is so iconic to the Apple brand and always looked futuristic, like the ceramic white Watch.

As someone who, at one time, spent most days replacing bloody top cases on both types of polycarbonate model - good riddance!

As pretty as they were, they broke like crazy.

I'm… happy they helped bring Apple to the corporate health and industry leadership they enjoy today, but I'm… good, thanks.
[doublepost=1545129248][/doublepost](The recently-discontinued Apple Watch Edition? Did that count? If white sells, a "white tax" apparently doesn't fly as far as a "black tax.")

If you pick up a 2009 MacBook 5,2 it'll run all the way up to Mojave (with the patcher of course) and supports 8GB of DDR2 RAM. The lesser-known models with the Geforce 9400m.
I bought one and put into a black macbook case. One of my favorite machines.

This sounds tempting. The original iBook is a work of art. Hopefully a higher resolution 1280x960 display could be added too.

If it means going back to plastic, no thanks. We need to be moving forwards, and Apple's latest efforts with the recycled Alu MacBook Air are the future!

The original 2006-2011 MacBook line was great. Too bad the current has so many compromises. I wouldn't mind a return of white plastic, as long as hard work is put in to make sure they do not discolor or crack. I doubt Apple is willing to put the time in though.
