When will Apple start shipping iPhone 6 pre-orders?

I was wondering when will Apple start shipping the pre orders of the iPhone 6 and the 6 Plus? When did they start shipping them with the iPhone 4S 3 years ago? Before the release day, or on the release day? I know that last year there were no pre-orders. I'm staying up till 3:00 AM EST tomorrow night to pre order mine.

They will ship probably early to mid next week and will arrive on the 19th

Release date is next week Friday so you'll have yours on that day. I still have my launch day Iphone 5. The phones will start shipping middle of next week but Apples has an agreement with carriers to not deliver prior Friday.

Two years ago Apple wasn't shipping any 4S's because they were busy shipping the new iPhone 5's. And they started shipping when ordering opened.

I'm getting the space gray 4.7 inch one. I don't really like big phones, so the 5.5 inch won't work for me. Enjoy your phone! I know I will.
