When will Apple’s iPhone X cases be available?

Anyone got any guesses as to when the official Apple iPhone X cases will be available?

I think I might grab a leather one even though I’m still toying with going naked with AppleCare+. It would be cool to get one before the phone to get excited!

I’ve seen some pretty neat screen protectors which actually include black edging which could make them almost entirely invisible - but will wait for reviews.
 
I always thought they would start selling together with the X.

I’m adding a case with the preorder. Trying to decide between the saddle brown and black.

I heard its best to just pre order the phone. If the case is delayed, so will your phone, as they will try and ship it together.
But I may be wrong...
 
I’ve had my eye on that folio case-although a 100 clams is a dear price to pay for a case, it could pretty much mean that I could ditch my wallet.

Do we know if that case is going to have the magnetic sleep/wake closure of the iPad Smart case?

Yes the folio will have the sleep/wake feature. That’s nice.
I thought about the folio too, but in the end I prefer my wallet and phone on different places.
 
In the past I've always ordered the phone first.. get that through.. then go back and order a case. It's free shipping no matter what so there's no extra costs involved. And like others mentioned, a delay in cases can delay your phone purchase. I'd rather have a device sitting in the box at my house waiting for a case then having a case with no phone. :(

As others have said. I'd rather get the phone order processed ASAP, and the a new order for the case.
In any event, I have the saddle brown for my 7+ and really like it. After a year it has a developed a nice patina.

Accidental repairs even w/ AC are not cheap. Considering the back will likely crack in addition to the screen with a drop you are looking at $130 tab even w/ AC. So something to keep in mind.

The case and phone are rarely at the same warehouse and almost always ship separately. But if the case is delayed Apple will ship the phone regardless. In most cases the case will ship immediately and will arrive well before the phone. This is true of all accessories Apple sells.

Ok you guys you convinced me. It doesn’t hurt to order the case right after the phone order is placed. As you say free shipping and all!

I imagine a lot of the iPhone X accessories and cases will actually sell out quickly as well. Make sense to have that in your cart when ordering as well.
 
I have one iPhone X case in hand already from Amazon, and a Casetify case on its way. I'll probably end up with an Apple silicone case at some point as well but I wanted something ahead of time.
 
if you want the ones on the apple site, october 27. other cases are available, ive had my iphone x case from caudabe for 2 weeks already.

Spot on! I don’t know where people are getting their info that if the case is delayed, so will the iPhone...
 
Doubt they will be available at launch. I'd rather get Spigen cases and are available at Amazon.
 
i plan on placing a separate order for a black apple leather case for the iPhone X as soon as i finishe placing a preorder for the iPhone X,

I wouldn't order the case together with the iPhone X as well in the same order for the reasons stated above but its your call at the end of the day

Do the leather cases sell out quick within minutes just as the phones do? i know that the cases wont be available in stores for atleast a few weeks(they might get some stock but it usually sells quick especially the black leather one), i remember last year when i got the iPhone 7 Plus on release day i wasn't able to find the black apple leather case anywhere for atleast 3-4 weeks and it was delayed online too so i settled for some cheap spigen case in the meantime until i was able to find the official apple leather case which in my opinion is fantastic all around case


As far as screen protectors go, Who makes the thinnest glass screen protector for the iPhone X?

Speaking of Otterbox cases, I know some of them come with Screen Protection. Is there any concerns with the screen protection not working well with the FaceID? Just curious. I like to keep my screens protected if at all possible, but am just curious if anyone heard or know of any potential issues with screen protection with the faceID.

I would assume the screen protector wouldn’t cover the notch portion where the faceid components are
