I'm getting pretty impatient for it....

If history is to be judged, two week intervals seem to be the thing.

I'm predicting anytime between yesterday and midnight Friday.

I think Yosemite is the iOS 7 of Desktop. Huge Overhaul, Major Feature Additions, and Zero to None bug fixing. So they will take their time fix it till September or November for 10.10.2 maybe, and completely ignore iOS like they ignored Mavericks last year.

The OP is talking about the Developer Preview, not the second big update to Yosemite. I very much doubt we'll be waiting until September for the second Developer Preview, considering that's about a month off when it's likely to launch.

Dev Preview 2 is showing on my iOS 8 Beta 2 page on the Dev Portal
