when will i expect my delivery?

apple shipped my MBP on friday said it should be here by friday, normally how long does it take? surely less then a week ?

You should have received a tracking number which you can use to track your shipment in the carrier's website. That will give you updated info about your shipment and when is it expected to be delivered. In my experience, the estimated arrival date from Apple is pretty accurate.

Are you sure you used the tracking number, not the order number? It may take awhile for UPS' site to be updated so try again tomorrow for example.
