When will ios update end for 6s plus?

I am thinking about using my wife 6s plus instead of buying a new phone. I wonder when will the ios update end for it and even end normally how long i can use it before a lot of apps not support that ios version? Anu security concern when there is no more update?

iPhone 5 is still supported and that phone is 5 years old at this point so my guess is the 6s has another few solid years left.

My guess is maybe another 3 years out of it before it starts to slow down, & you will more likely have to get the battery replaced at some point if you intend on keeping it for a good while aswell.

Absolutely ages yet. It's got 2gb ram so not only will it get updates for a while, it'll still likely run pretty well.

As for battery, some people seem to think it's phone upgrade time when that starts to go. You know, you CAN get a new battery, blimey.

I don't practise what I preach though, I upgrade yearly mostly. I love my 7 Plus but doubt I'll be able to resist whatever comes next.

At least 5 years of Apple support.

So since the 6s/+ came out in 2015, it will be supported to 2020 (at least).

dude chill out and enjoy the phone.
most likely you'll shatter it or get bored with it and get a new one before it breaks on it's own or stops receiving iOS updates.

it's a great device just like u heard above and it will last for years.

I truly believe that the 6s Plus is one of Apple's best phones and it's still a king even with the 7 Plus on the market.

I don't use a case, it looks like ****. Dropped it tens of times, still going strong.
Also this is the launch day model, battery is at 333 cycles, 77.5% health.

I'll upgrade this fall tho, that OLED iPhone [8, X, Edition, whatever] will be awesome.

Here is my September 26, 2015 iPhone 6s+. Not launch day, but launch weekend (6s/6s+ released on September 25, 2015)

Not ever really dropped.
