The other questions us Intel Mac users have to consider is when will major ISV (e.g. Microsoft, Adobe, etc) start shipping Apple Silicon-only versions? For MS, I'm guessing that will be Winter '28.

Then when will Xcode drop support for generating Intel binaries? After which, ISV may practically have to drop support for Intel-compatible apps as any new developer's laptop will require OS V.X that only runs Xcode V.Y that only targets Apple Silicon and/or macOS with no Intel support. I'm guessing no commercial developers will ship Intel-compatible apps after Winter '29. Just a few hobbyists and aficionados running old macOS and compiling from source.

Adobe has already announced that the 2027 audio and video apps released this fall will not support Intel Macs.
