iPhone XR When will the XR be on display in apple stores?

Does anyone know if they put new models out on display before they're available for pre-order? I want to try the XR before I buy, and I know if I wait more than a couple hours to pre-order delivery will be slipped by at least a couple weeks.

Good question. My guess is October 26, but it would be really helpful if they were on display earlier.
