When win 10 recovery fails

a challenge for any win10users

My entry level ASUS 32gb emc lapotop failed during reset and recovery as I forgot password

Since rebooting constantly to ASUS screen only

I don’t have access to another windows device

What are my recovery options if there are any

I have a usb drive though not windows saved

No recovery cd as it doesn’t have a cd or dvd drive

can you start in safe mode? hit the power button and then F8 until it goes into advanced options. Might work although without a recovery disk you're limited in what you can do.

I got into bios setup though the failed recovery/reset has changed this laptop considerably

I can’t even alter boot up options or reset bios to default settings

Currently booting to bios screen when powered on

Think it’s gone t.b.h only purchased last year as a win10 device though maybe I should have spent a little more at the time and gone intel and ceartainly more storage.

I use win10 in work not too bothered though wish I could at least save it as it was

Not sure if a local pc repair shop could maybe run a recovery direct from usb as it’s not booting from usb and there isn’t an option to boot from usb in bios

It was pre insatelled with win 10 no recovery media

Since requesting warranty rma 21st aug’
Laptop collected by courier yesterday.
E-mail from Asus service centre 19:00hrs bst tonight.
Laptop repaired to be returned home

My 1st rma attempt 21st July was initially rejected -I pursued purchase receipt.
Thanks all -unfortunately reset tips failed and was last stuck bios password request screen.
Hope I can make use of existing scandisk 32gb usb to make a recovery drive.
