Feels like it’ll be three consecutive days of press releases and 12 minute introductory videos

My guess: press release(s).

And now that Apple is on a somewhat yearly cadence updating M chips, it is quite funny to read comments like "nobody needs this.." and such. Remember the Intel days?
Chip performance will continue to increase, year over year or so, just don't expect performance bumps like we saw from intel to M all the time.
The Intel, or even Motorola, days were 100x more innovative and exciting than what we nowadays have from Apple. Boredom is the motto at the company now.

We are far more matured in technology development overall, be it laptops, desktops, smartphones etc compared to 10/20/30 years ago, hence people keeping their devices for ever longer periods...

I don't know why this nonsense keeps being repeated over and over again - if you asked Motorola, Nokia or BB, they would say exactly the same thing before the iPhone was launched.

Likewise for the Macintosh when everyone else was doing CLIs.

Likewise for the iMac when everyone else was doing beige boxes.

The sole fact is: visionary and out-of-the-box thinkers like SJ and Musk (yes, him), i.e. people who do not settle with the passive prevailing mindset, do not appear every year. And unfortunately for Apple, the dearth of innovation will be felt much more, after at least THREE completely new/unexpected product lines under Jobs.

People are basically trying to find ways to accept and justify what's going on with Apple.

Despite ample evidence of their lack of innovation and inability to execute on much quality anymore, folks just don't want to believe what they are seeing.

A lot of the early visionaries are long gone, it's nonsense to keep dreaming about it.
Technology has matured, simple as that. Computing tools are in billions and billions of hands, daily...
to expect something "visionary" is just setting yourself up for being disappointed.
And when Apple introduced VPro, almost everyone here just plain hated it...

And then there are those who blindly criticize and bash everything, not only Apple but almost everything...
And that's ok, we have different opinions and viewpoints...

How would FaceTime work on an Apple TV box? I’ve been thinking about switching from fire stick to ATV but it won’t be having prime place in my set up.

None of these product refreshes require an event, as they're all internal changes. So I expect a week of press releases vs a dedicated event personally.
