S3 and so ready for the bump in size. its funny how you dont think its that noticeable but it really is. sure Im a bit bummed because I kinda got used to those renders that turned out to be so wrong but for anyone coming from S1-4 I think it will be a nice upgrade.

It does feel as if the lack of information is meant to squash any pre-launch criticisms or red flags.

The less people know, the less potential of bad press and negativity which could easily snowball to where the public skips this version altogether.

This launch is very un-Apple like.

You finally realise how apple truly see customer and how they actually treat them. Yeah, not good.

To add to the list, there are basically not even any product shots of half the models, only the aluminum ones and gold stainless.

Can’t summarise it better myself. Something happened to this launch and they are rushing through a plan B. This is not a conspiracy theory but it’s what happened right in front of our eyes. Apple plans products years ahead but they can’t plan accidents.

That’s why the limited quantities are not a big deal. There will be lots of people who need solid specification comparisons before they order. Since there are limited quantities these people not ordering will allow us people who are impressed with the new display (like me) to get what we want. A new and improved display is always reason enough to upgrade. I can’t wait!

I haven't seen anything yet that lays out what the alternatives are. Is the next step down model going to be the old Series 6? Or the SE? And the bottom of the line model, is that still the Series 3 (surely not) or something else?

I’m guessing the 7 will replace the 6 and not be sold anymore. Probably SE still.
 
I misread this as the pre-orders being available now and just about had a heart attack 🤣

This launch still seems super fishy though with the way Apple hasn't been sharing any details.
 
This is seriously weird. Even for Apple. Reminds me of the iPhone 4 launch where they teased white and suddenly told everyone white was not ready.

What is shocking is the entitlement you feel.
It is not like they will never give you this info before you order. It is just they are, not giving it to you weeks/days/hours before you order. You also don't have to order it right away and can sit with the info until you are ready.
