When you carry your mbp in a bag>

Do you just put it to sleep or shut it off completely? I have been powering it off but I think its safe to just put it to sleep. What do you do?

Always in sleep mode. I love how quick you are ready to go when you take it out of the bag. And in sleep mode the hard disk is not moving so it's completely safe!

I just have my laptop set to sleep when I carry it around.

My current setting is:
Sleep when lid is closed
Wake up & hibernate after 3 hours.

This is on Windows 7. I hope that OSX supports that.

sleep is fine. the moving components are turned off and the hard drive has a motion detector to protect it.
