just curious what everyone else did. I’ve restored from backup every new watch I got over the years but for the first time since the original, I think I’m gonna start new so it feels like a completely new experience.

I started new because a lot of the setup is getting the watch faces how I want them and I was switching to the new infograph one anyway so I just started fresh and only installed apps I knew I would use.

I setup as new only because recent backups weren't showing as an option. I think because I backed up on 5.0.1 and the new watch was just on 5. I didn't feel like setting up as new, updating, then resetting and restoring.

I restored from backup. Today, less than 4 hours ago. :D

Nike silver aluminium, with white reflective sport loop. Put my already purchased titanium/black nike sport band on it. Friggin SCHWEET! This is what the watch should have been from day one, complete with retrospective experience from the future...! :)

I set up as new.

I have turned on everything in iCloud sync and use that (not iCloud backup). I do that for my phone when there is a major iOS version as well.

Now that iCloud sync works with health data and iMessages, it is a good way to clear out a lot of clutter and apps I no longer use.

Restored from backup. That way I keep my activity data and existing configurations for watch faces.

I set up as new but I didn't loose any activity data. Actually I have now 2 watches installed, the one I'm wearing is connected (although I haven't use my S2 after S4 arrived, surprise surprise..).

I restored cause I was kinda in a hurry. I knew if I choose BOLD text that it would have to reboot the watch again. Normally I would start as new on the watch, but I always use a backup to restore my iPhones.

I set up as new and all my activity info transferred since it is stored on the phone app.

Restore from backup and then adjust as needed. Have multiple watches I use and keep paired.

If i plan to keep my old S0 watch paired (for sleep tracking) could I set up the S4 using restore? Or would I have to set it up as new? Any benefit either way?
