I think September would make more sense, isn't that when the iPod line is refreshed? This would coincide with a new iPod touch, and even the rumoured iPhone 5.

I was thinking/hoping we would see a new iPhone and iOS 5 this September at the usual iPod refresh.

The iPod, awesome and time tested as it is.... they gotta be out of ideas or close to it. The past few iPod refreshes have just been really gimmicky. I've been holding off on buying a new iPod for the car because I wanted to see whats next. But I really just keep it in the glovebox for the stereo in the car so I'm just gonna get a classic for my summer trips.

My prediction, not that it means anything, is that the usual September iPod event will become the new iPhone event.
