Where are the backup files for my iPod touch? I'm running Windows XP pro. I've searched online to find it but i can't find it UGH!!!:mad:

Why would it matter? It's not a good idea to delete your backup unless you are doing something specific...

More detail is requested.

Somewhere in program files.

I would guess it is somewhere in C:/~blah blah blah~/program-files/itunes

Sorry, I don't have iTunes installed on Parallels (Mac).

Just look around a little.

On Vista, it's in a folder called C:\blahblahblah\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\{long string of letters&numbers}

Hopefully, it's not much different on XP. So search your C drive for folders named "Backup," then see if any of them have higher-level directories similar to what I listed above.

iTunes places the backup files in the following places:

On a Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/

On Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\

On Windows Vista: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync

I have been backing up my touch for a year now. I have a mac and I tried to find the backup file using your path but I have no mobile sync folder in my application support folder in my library...are you sure you've given the correct path????

The path "On a Mac" worked perfectly for me to find a recorded file on my iPod Touch. Much appreciated. (8/7/17)

There are two library/application support folders. One is hidden. Use "goto" command.
Or in Finder, Go tab, press and hold "option" to display hidden library.
