I have been problems lately with my jailbroken iphone 3g.. To the point that Cydia app doesn't even open anymore and safari on my phone is crashing so much that its becoming unusable. So I'm about to restore my iphone to factory and then jailbreak it but my question is where are the movies that you sync with itunes stored? I would like to back them up since some of them I dont have anymore

Thanks

I'm not exactly sure where the movies are stored but I do know to back them up just SSH into the phone and look for them there

Looosers.

Movies are stored in /var/mobile/Media/iTunes_control/

Inside that folder are lots of other folders like F00, F01, F02, etc. Look inside those until you find files with video file endings. Then just back them up to your computer.

In the media partition of your phone. You can access this partition via iBrickr (for older software revisions like pre-2.0.0) or you can SSH into the phone.

I tried to do that, with movies downloaded via some kind of torrent client then your gonna have to concert the .avi file to a .mp4 file, I haven't actually downloaded from iTunes just yet but I assume they're going to be in your iTunes library on your iPhone, anyway if you really want the newest movies like Rango and ****, then you need to type in on google "download gnomeo and Juliet* torrent" and the best one is to go on kickasstorrents, then you download the avi and convert it to mp4, drag it to your videos section on iTunes then sync, they're ya goo
*Gnomeo and Juliet are just examples
