I have a Mac Mini running on a wireless home network and for some reason I cannot see all my installed applications in the Applications folder for this computer (yet I can see all the apps on my iMac which is connected to the same network). I can see only the apps I've installed manually, not those that were installed with the OS. Are these invisible? How can I retrieve the icons for all my standard apps such as iCal, Numbers, TexEdit... And how about my Utilities folder containing DiskUtility and such? I have just upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion but I still cannot see anything in the Apps directory except what I put there myself.

Safari, Mail , Messages, Contacts, iTunes, Garageband, iMovie, etc. Everything I'd expect to see. I used the search facility to see if I could find Disk Utility, and it showed up. Surely this is not the only way to navigate to my apps though?!
