Where are my Screen Captures going?

Screen Captured images are no longer going to my Desktop. I can hear the camera click sound but the image is nowhere to be found. Is there a Screen Capture preference anywhere? MC

You can do a search for images created today to locate the folder. To change the default folder for screencap images back to your desktop, in Terminal type:

defaults write com.apple.screencapture location "/Users/yourusername/Desktop/"​

If you download and install the Secrets pref pane you can specify the download folder.

Thanks, I tried the terminal command and I still cant find the images. I called Apple and they suggested an erase and install. I would rather not have to do that.
