Where are stored photos on iCloud?

Hi,

I currently use OneDrive to store all my family pictures. The pictures are saved by the OneDrive application and stored in one folder by year and after by month.
How are stored the photos synced on iCloud? Is it possible to copy / paste all files from OneDrive to iCloud to do the migration or should I use the Photos application on macOS?

You should use the Photos app on your Mac.
