If the information isn't publicly documented, you can't legally use it.

I was just thinking I might be missing something somewhere, I'm just reading the documentation online as my mac is in for repairs and so I dont have the SDK to play with.
Actually since my last post things have started to make a bit more sense, though almost all my plan's for applications have been scrapped due to current lack of access to info, and the single app rule.
I'm sure i will think of something else to write in time, ideas are never something I'm short of.
