Hi there,

I just installed an application Inkscape. It works well and I can find the icon in application folder. But I cannot find the "Inkscape" folder where I need to add a plug-in file. The same happens to most of the apps I installed before. I can only find their icons in application folder, but no folders under their name exist.

Anyone can tell me why?

Thanks,

Lan

Usually I'd go searching for it in the "Library/Application support" directory. (Note that the slash indicates the directory path, with the folder "Application support" being a folder inside the "Library" folder.)

There's also a possibility that they should be added to the application package itself, in which case you right-click on the app and select Show package contents, then navigate to the correct folder and copy the plugin to there.

I got it. That is what I am looking for. Thanks a lot, guys.

Be aware that there are two folders to check:
/Library/Application Support/
/Users/username/Library/Application Support/
