Every kind of hardware has been available refurbished on the Apple store shortly after introduction except the MacBook Pro 17" machines. The MacBooks and the MB Pro 15s are all offered, but no 17s.

Where are the refurb MB Pro 17s?

Well I would assume that not enough units have been sent back to put them in the refurb section. The 17" doesn't have most of the problems the 15" does so that would probably be why.
