Where can I buy a MBP Penryn Battery?

Does anyone know where to find a replacement battery for my Penryn MBP?
I think the battery model is ASMB012.

Apple's website sells one for $129 that I think is the correct one, but it doesn't show the model number on the product information. So I cant be sure.

I see these on Amazon. Are either of them the right battery?

anyone know a website that sell the correct battery for my MBP Penryn 15" 2.5 ghz first run? I used Mroogle to see if it had already been answered but couldn't find anything useful.
 
yeah i know they make batteries, but i always thought it would've been panasonic (some company like that..sanyo..) that would've made batteries for Apple, not Sony.

On that note, I sold my iPhone and am buying the Sony C905 today..ironic much..
 
As stated, there is only one type of battery for the Penryn MBP. You can buy it from Apple or some of the other retailers.

I took my battery out yesterday and written on the back in plain english was "A1175". I'm not sure why they have the device listed as ASMB012 in system profiler, but it appears that if it works for A1175 it is good to go. I saw some high capacity and direct replacements for sale on ebay for about $58.00, though I would purchase it from another source.
 
Sony makes batteries. The first one I had in my early 2008 MBP before it failed was an SMC. So those are two companies, it's possible there's more out there.

Just like how there's multiple hard drive and LCD manufacturers, etc.
 
What is up with this battery?????

Hey everyone, I charged my battery last night, took it off the charger before I went to seep. I opened it up this morning to see 100% battery, which was a surprise usually it drops to like 60% over night. Anyway, MY MBP just turned off and made the "bliinky" noise. Tried to turn it back on but it wouldn't until I plugged it in. Now It is on but my battery specs are abnormal. Compare my previously posted battery specs with todays and it looks like I have a new battery.

WEIRD, Is my battery finally done for???
