I purchased the Newmodeus optibay replacement at the suggestion of this thread and others, and it does not fit the new i7 mcabook pro 15"!

how does it not fit. are you sure you are not using the wrong height of drive? the MBP has the same size superdrive as the previous generation so it should fit.

product id 299 is the one with 12.7mm height which does not fit unibody MBPs.
