Do not use ZiPhone. It's past outdated and is considered dangerous even if used in the correct software.

In any case, Installer is dead. All that is left is Cydia and Icy. Also, you can get Tris thru the App Store, so no need to jailbreak.

Are you sure? Apple pulled it not long after it was released on the App Store (I was one of the lucky people that was able to purchase it before this happened though). Unless they've reapproved sometime not long ago...?

I also still have a copy back when they released it, I'm also curious how this app was considered dangerous.

Yup, Apple pulled Tris from the App Store. EA probably threatened legal action if they didn't.

EA owns the rights to Tetris, probably infringed on their intellectual property, something like that.
Also, how could EA sell their game for $5 if Tris was free?

I looked for Tris, but don't see it in the App Store. Are you sure?

The developer was a young guy (college) and EA threatened legal action if he didn't pull it from the App store. Apple didn't pull it. I luckily downloaded it before it was pulled. IMO, it's better than the official Tetris game.

Edit: Here's a link to the article about it why it was pulled. http://www.iphonehacks.com/2008/08/iphone-tris.html

Witherspoon believes that "The Tetris© Company" copyright claims would get thrown out if it went to court. However, as he does not have the resources to fight this in court, he plans to remove his iPhone App from the App Store on tomorrow

Well, I didn't know it had been pulled. In any case, you could get it, as it appears, from the App Store.

Your best bet now is to have someone send you the .ipa file

In which case they'd have to give the OP their iTunes account and password to authorise it for their device ;)
