where can I find cool avatars?

Some find my avatar annoying, but I don't think it is as out there as some others I have seen.

<<----- Annoying. But I've put myself on ignore so I never see it. I've actually tried to edit it but for some reason all the programs I've used randomly make various frames not transparent anymore and it annoys me and I just leave it as is.

I too would like an animated avatar but really don't know how to go about making one -- or what to make. Not as creative as a lot of other MRers.
