Where can I get a Quicktime codec to play AVI and WMA files on my Mac?

as the title says. I have some AVI files that Quicktime doesn't want to play. it's telling me to go to this site that has different codecs but none of them work. I have that flip4mac program but it doesn't do anything either.

I figured I'd ask the pros in this forum. thanks in advance. 🙂

Keep F4M for WMV files, use Perian for the rest 🙂

And if after you install perian, quicktime still refuses to read the avi movie, get VLC

sometime avi files are being played back as white blank under Safari. Such problem do not appear if I save the files first and then playback. Am I missing something?
