Where can I get free sound effects? Record player scratch?

    Im looking for a record player scratch-like when a dj or someone interrupts a song with the needle scratching on it. Is there any free software that lets you do this? Thanks!

    google for it. there are lots of sites w/ free sound effects.

    it's not software, just sound files.

    sorry about that...yeah I tried googling it, but maybe im just not typing in the right thing or something...any sites?

    Or even better, hook up a turntable and do the effects yourself, preferably on a record you don't like. Doing foley is quite entertaining imo. =]

    there are loops bundled w/ Garageband w/ this sort of effect.

    if you're using a DAW izotope has a free plugin that does this.

    called vinyl its pretty nifty
