Anybody know where I can take my Powerbook and replace the bottom casing due to me being an idiot and dropping it.

do you think the mac Genius at my local Mac store is able to do this?

thanks!

For a price. It'll be hundreds of pounds.

I'm willing to spend around £300 getting it fixed.

I dont really wanna spend more than that, or i might just buy a MacBook Pro!

It will be at least that. I'd estimate Apple would say £500. If we assume for a minute that iFixit represent the true market price (and remember this is a second hand part) we see that a bottom case is $250. Once UK VAT is taking into account Apple normally end up charging not far off 1£=1$ so at best you're probably looking at £250 for a new lower case from Apple. I would imagine a good 2 or 3 hours labour...
