  1. Absolutely, yes. I don't hink it adds any "premium" to the machine.

    They cut the :apple: remote with all new MBP and Macbook models , that's not something you haven't noticed yet . BUT
    Have you seen this page??

    http://www.apple.com/getamac/whichmac.html

    <just scroll a bit>

    What about the line : "On Every Mac" : "Front Row + Apple Remote" ????

    I'll whine about the nice remote we've lost :cool: Does anyone want to join ?

    I think the following line from that section covers them.

    "And the Apple Remote, included with MOST new notebook and desktop Macs"

    ** emphasis mine **

    Apple has changed it now so it wouldn't work anymore.

    I've never had to use the Apple Remote with my MacBooks and really don't see any instance where I would. I know it can come in handy if connected to a large screen TV, but, personally, I've never done it and never will.

    On the other hand, I love using it with my Mac Pro and 30" monitor! :D

    Knowing this already when I ordered a MacBook this morning, I tried ordering a remote with my Mac but it would have delayed it a few days. Really, I don't care all that much because I already have two remotes sitting here from my MBP and iMac.
