My daughter upgraded her iPad software to the latest 4.2.1 and she is asking me how to lock her landscape/portrait orientation? Didn't they make the O' lock into a volume mute switch? So, where (in software) did they move the orientation lock? Anybody?

Yep. The switch now functions as a mute control.

Open the multi-tasking tray by double clicking the home button. Then, slide the tray icons to the right. The lock is at the far left of the iPod controls.

Found it!!!!!

Thank you. That all sounded Greek to me (because neither my daughter nor my wife will let me touch their iPads)!! But she understood your instructions and has found the O' switch. Thanks for your help, and may you always fly with a tailwind!

You're welcome! And, thanks - not that many people get my handle. :D
