    Hello all,

I got this pop-up on my iMac? What on earth is this? Where did it come from?

If you don't have any business with money gram (and you are not in Australia/New Zealand where Money Gram operates), you could choose to ignore/dismiss the reminder.

Could be a scam, which you probably SHOULD ignore.

Or, assuming you are in Australia, you could contact Money Gram to clear up your overdue account payment :)

Never heard of Money Gram in my life and I'm not in Aus/NZ. I'm just wondering if it's a virus or something even though I have BitDefender and Malwarebytes and neither showed anything?

Trash BitDefender. There are no Mac OS X viruses and it is a real resource hog. Malwarebytes for Mac is a great product. File it as the usual spam emails under 'T' for too good to be true. Get many of these daily telling me how muich monmey I have to withdraw from companies never heard of.

I suppose what's getting me is that I don't know which program this pop up came from, it's not an email.

It's in your Calendar man. MacOS Calendar is completely effed up that I don't use it anymore. It originally came from an e-mail and put itself into your calendar. Even when you hit snooze or dismiss it places itself into calendar so when you have any requests to add to calendar just command+Q
You can't get rid of it either

Strange man, so you're saying I got some spam and then it added itself to my Calendar? I've never used Calendar to this day.

I know, I never used it much either. But I did get some spam calendar invitation and it placed itself into Calendar, then popping up reminders. Just like what's happening to you now. Even if you decline the invitation it sticks itself in Calendar.

This came up about a year ago. It’s largely died off since then, but they can still appear from time to time.

Apparently they're starting to spin this up against Google Calendar now too.
