The keygen music.I've never run across a virus inside free music, though...
...I mean, free music? What music?![]()
I find all the "turn your firewall off, uninstall antivirus and just browse the internet" statements a bit unfounded. Does this really happen? Because it doesn't to me. I don't have a firewall, I don't bother with antivirus because it slows my PC down. I don't go around browsing questionable websites but I do use the Internet a lot, including torrents and P2P. My PC is fine.
You have to be pretty irresponsible and/or unknowledgeable to mess up your PC. Unfortunately most people are. This is the only reason why Windows PCs seem to deteriorate. There are a lot of people out there trying to get you, since you use a PC, and generally, people are going to make mistakes and bring it unto themselves.
Use computers intelligently. Macs included!
Yeesh.
Search "FREE PORN" on Google and start clicking links. That oughta do it.
Just turn off your firewall and virus protection, leave it connected to the internet, and wait.
No joke. My netbook got infected a few weeks after I bought it. I had turned off virus scanning, thinking "pshaw, I don't surf dubious sites, I'll be fine". Apparently not.
I never used an antivirus on my old dell. Never got a single virus, despite using torrents, P2P, and other questionable online activities. You have to be smart about what you click.
Really? I've spent a year without a virus scanner and ran into no problems. This is under XP SP3 on my iMac. How do you people get these problems!
