Where do replacement parts come from?

I am just curious as to where iPhone, and specifically iPhone 4, replacement parts come from, are they genuine apple parts? Or knockoffs?

cnn.cn has some, I guess they are known to stock legit replacement parts.

I want a white back plate for black iPhone 4... so they need to drop the price asap! lol
