Ever since Apple had the iPod, iPhone, etc updates through iTunes, they stopped going into the utilities folder and I have been unable to find them as I don't need the older updates as soon as I have the newer software and could free up a lot of HD space. Unless iTunes by default deletes the old software when a newer version is available and downloaded.

iTunes does save updates, I remember restoring my iPod Classic and it didn't download the software, so it must have saved the software somewhere. Sorry I can't be of more help, but I hope my nugget of info atleast helps a little.

I know it saves it somewhere, though what I am wondering does iTunes automatically delete the old software once a newer version is downloaded? If not where does iTunes store it?
