I'd like them in single digits too but I also stick with MiFi certified cables to avoid headaches.
I've bought cheapies from China and they either didn't work out of the bag or else died after a few uses.

Many cables are discounted on amazon that are apple certified.

That tech armor lifetime warranty sounds great, going to have to pick one of those up soon!

Hopefully it will be ok being thrown into a book bag

Monoprice and Apple. Nothing else. I only get certified cables, anything else I wouldn't trust since it can be written out of iOS at any time.

Monoprice seems pretty expensive still (looking for a place to find them in single digits)
You're not going to find a good, certified cable for under $10.

Only use the real deal for my stuff. Don't want any of them catching fire because I saved £10 on a cable.

Same here. Only use what comes in the official box from the official company.

You'd think everyone would have learned by now with "Man shocked by charging iPhone" stories in China.

+1

Honestly the best place to get them is TJ Maxx. I got an extremely sturdy mifi tylt cable there for $12
