Usually propped upside-down(dock connector pointed up) against the side of my nightstand while it charges. If not, it lives in my school bag at night or on my desk.

I've fallen asleep on the couch hugging my iPad before. (true story) But at night it sits next to my charging station away from the bed where the cats can't knock it off my nightstand.

Wherever I left after the last use unless it needs charging then it goes on a bookshelf in the bedroom to get fueled up.

Probably a silly question, but do people shut down the iPad at night or mute it to avoid hearing notification dings during the night?

I put my iPad under my covers at night to ensure that no one finds out im Facetimeing my friend! :p

On my nightstand or in the pocket of my rocking chair (where it can charge if needed), so it's easily available all night for baby feedings.

My iPad2 lives in a stand on my fireplace when not being used so that's where it is most nights. If I take it up to bed with me it lays face down on the smart cover on my nightstand.
