besides the itunes store has anyone else found a legal way to download some music with good quality sounding files and transfer them to your itunes or iphone? i am willing to pay a monthly fee . just can find that many sites that you can transfer files from

thanks for any help

PS yes i did search this forum first

if you're willing to pay, what's wrong with itunes? you don't get any easier than that.

I use Spotify and pay £10 a month to listen to unlimited music, it's brilliant! :)

iTunes, Amazon, and TuneIne Radio app... plus the occasional CD. I like Amazon quite a lot, for sometimes iTunes only offers a given song if you buy the whole album but I have not found those restrictions at Amazon.

Or eMusic

maybe its changed since I last used it, but eMusic's selection was very poor when I last checked

EDIT: just looked, and it seems they've drastically expanded their selection. Good to know

Thats wrong you can choose to only buy a single song within the CD

Does anybody know a good shop where you can buy lossless audio? and download it?

+1 because it is drm free

iTunes music is DRM free too. I usually buy from iTunes but sometimes I use Amazon. I try not to use Amazon if I don't have to since theirs is in lower quality than iTunes and the metadata is not done as well.

All my music I purchase through iTunes, or I use the iTunes cards that they distribute in local Starbucks stores for freebies :) sometimes they have some great selections. Other times... not so much, haha.

I might try them again then. It was a pain to take the drm off of the music I did buy from them.

everything is a $1.29 now . was looking for more or less something i can pay per month and listen to whatever . there are some song that you kinda like but dont wanna waste $1.29 on em you know what i mean??? but yes i do occasionally buy from itunes

If you are referring to iTunes, I am afraid you are the one who is mistaken. Not all songs in iTunes are available singly, some can be purchased only if you buy the whole album. I'd give you an example, but that would reveal my embarrassingly poor taste in music.

Doesn't it depend on the artist/record company?

I've never bought music from iTunes. I have a Zune membership, and between the 10 songs per month, and the fact that the wife and I use Bing Rewards points to get MS live points which we then buy music with I have about 20gb of music that I basically paid about $150 for - And considering I do own a Zune player, anything else I can get under the subscription if I really want it.

MS really did get Zune right. The HD Zune player is/was a nice piece of hardware - shame they treated it like an orphan stepchild.

I stopped buying new music and only listen to the hundreds of cd's I have transferred into iTunes. (I'm sure :apple: would love everyone to do the same)
