Where does Logic/Mainstage put its samples?

I guess the title says it all.

I've looked in App supprt -> Logic -> Sample Instruments/Patches etc.

But all that's in those folders is .exs and .patch files, no actual samples.
Plus I don't see the size of the folder going up while I'm downloading the additional content.

So where are they going?

/Library/Application Support/GarageBand/Instrument Library/Sampler/Sampler Files/

and

/Library/Application Support/Logic/EXS Factory Samples/

I'm still confused as to why those folders don't seem to be getting any bigger though....

The content is most likely downloaded as a package to a temporary location, then installed afterwards.

Are there any issues moving some of these big sample sets to another drive?
I'm guess the main app just needs to be redirected to load the samples or something?

Yes, I've moved the samples in the past without problems. Just move the folder then replace it with a symbolic link to the new location.

When you say 'the folder' do you mean the whole Logic and Garageband folders in App Support?

I only moved the 2 folders I mentioned above.
