Mac OS X 10.6.8 will include the security update that was released today. Apple decided not to wait until 10.6.8 is released to address MacDefender.

Why? The whole point of 10.6.8 was to patch macdefender which was done in a security update instead.

No, there were other fixes included too. We can definitely expect 10.6.8 to be released.

Who says, apple doesn't really divulage any details to unreleased patches. As for where it is. Its not been released by apple. They'll do it when they think its a solid bug free update

have u not read the news lately about 10.6.8? the third dev seed came out few days ago . here have a read:

    http://www.tuaw.com/2011/05/28/another-mac-os-x-10-6-8-build-seeded-to-developers/

i quote "The developer seed became available late yesterday, and focuses on AirPort, Networking, Graphics Drivers, the Mac App Store, QuickTime, and VPN. As usual, Apple has requested that developers file bug reports if any quirks are found. "

There u go, so thats why i wait for that update, it is a huge 1gb update lol so its not like it will be a small update ;)

heck, they say it will be the last snow leopard update :)

Just a little note...they are usually always 1 GB during development but drop down to 600 MB - 700 MB when released.
