Hi all,

I use an old copy of 1password for my older macs and iOS and I'm slowly trying to switch to Strongbox. I'm setting up a new laptop and have access to my icloud account but would like to now import the 1password database into strongbox. I checked icloud drive for the folder/file and couldn't find the 1password vault. I assume it is buried somewhere because other synced applications data are not available in regular iCloud drive. Where can I locate those types of files? In this case the 1password vault on my mac. I assume it is synced even if I can't use 1password on this computer since I the icloud data would be completely synced.

Thanks,
Philly

The hidden iCloud folders are at "~/Library/Mobile Documents"

Thanks... I had semi remmebered that and checked... On 13.2 it straight up links back to icloud drive on my end. It doesn't even give me a folder option. You double-click to open and wham straight back to standard iCloud drive.
So maybe I just need to turn off invisible files on icloud drive?

But like you I'm pretty sure that was how one used to be able to hunt down the actual files

You can see these folders in alternative Finders easily. I just tried in Commander one and it was easy to find. I had to show hidden files to see Library and Mobile documents were there. Folder names are, however, "interesting" and cryptic.

You can't directly import the database. It is a two step process.

1. Use 1password to export the database to a file. Do this on the older Mac which has 1password.
2. Use Strongbox to import the file.

The details are version dependent.

See here https://strongboxsafe.com/updates/m...port-file-attachments-custom-fields-and-more/ if your 1password is version 8. If older you may be limited to exporting via CSV file.
